With more than 2,350 operatives and a turnover exceeding £60 million, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across telecommunications, electric, water, gas, and directional drilling. But growth brought new challenges. By 2016, Instalcom’s leadership team recognized two critical needs: 1. **Developing future leaders** – Most promotions came from technical excellence and problem-solving under pressure, but fewer employees had formal training in planning, communication, and leadership skills. 2. **Succession planning** – To sustain growth, Instalcom needed to invest in personal and professional development so team members could step confidently into senior roles.
