Since its founding in 1989, Instalcom Ltd. has grown into one of the UK’s leading multi-utility and civil engineering contractors. With more than 2,350 operatives and a turnover exceeding £60 million, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across telecommunications, electric, water, gas, and directional drilling.

But growth brought new challenges. By 2016, Instalcom’s leadership team recognized two critical needs:

  1. Developing future leaders – Most promotions came from technical excellence and problem-solving under pressure, but fewer employees had formal training in planning, communication, and leadership skills.

  2. Succession planning – To sustain growth, Instalcom needed to invest in personal and professional development so team members could step confidently into senior roles.

After exploring options, Instalcom partnered with Leadership Management International (LMI®) to roll out the Effective Personal Productivity® (EPP) program.
